Micron Sprayers’ ‘Flexidome’ inter-row sprayer has now been adopted by growers in all the main areas of strawberry production. This provides for accurate, low volume, minimal drift application of residual and contact herbicides between raised beds of strawberries and along and around the legs of Spanish tunnels. Since its introduction in 2004, this machine has facilitated a significant reduction in the cost of inter-row herbicide applications. In the majority of cases, growers no longer need to follow up with knapsack or tractor-mounted sprayer lance applications.
